150915 UNIQ emerges as the fifth nominee for MTV EMAs
MTV EMA announced the fifth nominee for the “Best Global Artiste” for Mainland China & Hongkong region this morning: Apart from Han Geng, Zhang Liangying, Leo Ku & Tan Weiwei, UNIQ has been added to the list. UNIQ’s chance as the fifth nominee came along as a result of voting, and this popular idol group, which has debuted for less than a year, won opponents Ou Hao and Li Ronghao by a large margin to make it to the list of nominees.
In the afternoon after the announcement of the results, UNIQ also released a special video on their official SNS account. A year since the release of member Wang Yibo’s teaser video, today UNIQ’s official account released a new teaser video. What is worth taking note of are the numbers “20151018” at the end of the video, which may be hinting about an important date.
Within a year since UNIQ’s debut, the five members have ventured greatly into different fields like music, movie-filming and variety. With their first mini album “EOEO”, UNIQ emerged as the winner with the highest number of votes from China region in a music program in Korea thrice consecutively. “Born To Fight”, a song UNIQ released for the Chinese version of “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles”, also achieved extremely good results of 200,000,000 plays within two weeks, allowing UNIQ to gain great recognition in China as well as worldwide. During their showcases in China, Thailand and Japan, UNIQ were able to capture the hearts of many fans, and showcased charismatic performances to fans from different parts of the world.
Other than exploring different genres in music, UNIQ has also showcased their talents in other fields that cannot be underestimated: Member Wang Yibo celebrated his 18th birthday on the set of “A Chinese Odyssey Part 3”, while “Business Youth Partner” which he worked on with another member Kim Sungjoo, also allowed the public to witness their extraordinary acting ability. Kim Sungjoo is a fixed cast member on the currently popular variety show “Let’s Go”, along with Zhang Hanyu, Shen Teng, Song Xiaobao and other celebrities, where they took on challenges and experienced the lifestyles during different dynasties in ancient China. This “foreginer” who doesn’t seem like a foreigner has become a new star whom everyone is looking forward to. Within a year since debut, UNIQ has also endorsed many brands and attended fashion events due to their popularity, becoming the hot topic of everyone.

MTV China has announced their 4 out of 5 nominees for the MTV EMA. The 5th and last nomination is up to the fans! The three nominees for the last spot are Li Ronghao, Oho Ou, and UNIQ. To vote for UNIQ, log onto weibo and post at least a 15 word message with the hashtag, #送UNIQ去EMA#. The voting period is from now until 9/15 5:59 China Time.
In celebration of UNIQ 1 year anniversary, I would like to start a charity donation project. Of course, every gift that fans give to the boys to express their love are precious, but I believe, there is no better gift we could make to an artist, as to let them know they became people who inspire fans to unite together and do something as beautiful as helping those who in need. If it were not for the fact that we as humans were meant to love one another, we would not be blessed to love a group such as UNIQ the way us, Unicorns, do~♥
One of the ways we can show our love for UNIQ is to share our love with the less fortunate, passing along to them the happiness that UNIQ has given to Unicorns.
This is not my first time organizing charity donation even before I discovered UNIQ, and not my first time organizing a donation under Unicorn name. You can read about the previous donation post here. But this project is public one, therefore I’m thrilled to present it >< I really hope many of Unicorns will participate♥

All collected money will be donated to UNICEF organization for most needed at the moment (10/16 donation date) campaign. I will post on this blog about the campaigns I’m choosing between and you as well can suggest yours (trustful foundations, UNICEF campaigns). The donation certificate will be printed out and sent to Yuehua as a gift to UNIQ members on their anniversary♥

This is a notice regarding delivering gifts to UNIQ members.
Aside from official delivering gifts to Yuehua building directly or via fanamanager at the prerecordings and other public activities as allowed, there are a lot of fans who handle their gifts to members in airports and other locations.
We understand that you love the boys, but this creates dangerous situation to the boys and other fans, especially in places with busy trasportation.
From now on it is strictly forbidden to deliver any gifts to the members personally anywhere (ESPECIALLY at airports) except giving them to a fanmanager / officially delivered to Yuehua building.
YOU STILL ALLOWED TO GIVE LETTERS PERSONALLY THOUGH.
As well, there are some fans who send very expensive gifts to UNIQ members. We are asking you to avoid this in future, and gifts that are too expensive will be returned to sender with no exception.
